Bottomless Brunching Santa Monica | Zengo Rooftop

The Essence of Indulgence.

If there’s one meal to feel absolutely shameless about indulging in, it’s certainly brunch. Many of you already know that we love brunch. Adrienne prioritizes brunch like none other with every city she touches down in, so we made sure to include it on our Girls’ Trip list of must-dos during her return to LA. The spot that she picked for us before venturing to day two of Made in America was perfection!

Zengo is an urban-sophisticated Latin-Asian restaurant with mid-range price points. It specializes in tapas meant for the table to taste and share, with its weekend brunch special offering unlimited small plates + bottomless mimosas for $40/person.

Any desire I could want for from a Sunday brunch was appeased with my visit here.

An assortment of palatable menu options and plenty of champagne. Outdoor seating overlooking a beautiful and bustling area on my favorite side of town. A vivacious atmosphere, complete with upbeat music spun by a live DJ, cool & quick servers, and plenty of sunshine pouring in. The icing on the cake: having 5 of my gals there to indulge in all the exquisiteness.

Zengo’s California location is situated on the corner of the third story rooftop at Santa Monica Place, the beautiful outdoor mall that lives only steps away from the beach. SoCal’s nearly flawless weather makes almost any day a great day to dine here. Our partially shaded table in the back right corner allowed us to enjoy the sun, the afternoon’s cool breeze, and the kaleidoscopic view of the Promenade below. Table parties are given a two hour limit to enjoy its brunch menu without limits, which was the perfect amount of time for us to fill up on food and drinks with no shortage of chatter or laughter.

UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY, ZENGO WAS CLOSED AND REPLACED BY YET ANOTHER CHEESECAKE FACTORY. OH JOY.

I consider myself a softly eccentric urbanista. I’m quiet by nature, and I’ve generally always had a mellow laid-back vibe. However, when it comes to my preferences for fun, my style, and my overall thought process, I get a bit more eccentric. I like stepping out of the box of normalcy -- but without forcing anything. I’m a thrill junkie and I live for things that get my adrenaline pumping, such as riding on top of party buses in New York City and hanging off of skyscrapers in Vegas. I spring for bold hues, colorful prints and patterns, and a relaxed look that gives effortless-chic. I like exploring new places and capturing exciting sites. I’m a creative, with a million different ideas running through my mind each day. Whether I’m designing waistbeads, imagining up new clothing concepts, envisioning my next business venture, or planning my next adventure abroad, I’m always thinking of how I can create something great. Being raised in the suburbs but not far from the city and constantly traveling, I developed a love for the best of worlds. The calm and the crazy. The easy-going and the always-buzzing. The soft and the eccentric.
